Pvt GunTrash - Ohio Army National Guard

Completed basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia and will soon finish food service training at the Quartermaster School at Ft Lee, Virginia and will be awarded a 92G MOS.

I originally thought okay, how dangerous can it be to be an army cook? But then I happened to read the Spring '08 Quartermaster Journal online and read that the Quartermaster MOS with the most casualties during the War on Terror was... was... yep, you guessed it - 92G!

But, that doesn't faze him and he finds he really likes the Army. We're proud of him.

AGT, thank him for me for serving our country. He's not a member of the best Army in the world.

Damn, need to check my spelling. That came out all wrong. Should have said "He's NOW a member of the best Army in the world".

I believe that also, Fish. It's amazing what those young men and women do for us.

To be honest he primarily joined for the $20,000 bonus but found that he took to it like a duck to water. He loves it which is good as my advice to him when he told me he was joining the Guard was that if you're gonna be a soldier then go be the best damned soldier you can be.
