If only we could

Let me see if my pea-sized brain grasps this Supreme Court decision regarding the display of the Ten Commandments. I believe that the Geriatric Nine ruled that the Commandments can be displayed on government property, but cannot be displayed inside a government building. I think that's what I read.

Okie-Dokie... I'm sure all the ambulance chasers understand that one.

Personally, I don't. But, it does serve to again remind us of one of the most common sense lines ever written or spoken, compliments of Wm Shakespeare:

The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers
--Dick the Butcher, Henry VI, Act 4, Scene 2

Actually, I think they just got up this morning and said, "How can we make everybody mad at the same time? I know!! Let's make two rulings on the same subject that are totally inconsistent and give no one guidance about what anyone can and cannot do...yeah, that's it."

They are a befuddling bunch, those crazy Supremes. To be honest, I'm really not sure what upsets me. I really don't care what government does in relation to my belief in God and my Christianity. I just get aggravated that 9 lawyers can make a decision about something that can affect us all and we've very little recourse. Actually, that decision on property rights is the thing that everyone should be howling about. That is one big crock of Bravo Sierra.

I think Rush Limbaugh had a good suggestion re a Constitutional Amdt. that would allow Congress to overturn any SCOTUS ruling with a 2/3 majority. It would give the power back to the people - where it belongs.
