Well, summer is about here and I think I'll probably put blogging on the back burner. Time to get outside and pursue other fun. Fun like going shooting with my older brother and his son over in West (by God) Virginia.
Good idea AGT. I went down and spruced up my shootin' range the other day. Varnished the tables, used a wood protector on the deck, replaced the top board on the target stancion because they've nearly shot it in half, and ran the weed-eater. I need to buy some more targets though. I'm down to a half dozen for each pistol and rifle. Where's the nearest Wal-Mart.
The last time we shot our targets were steel plates from a worn-out dozer track hung on a metal rack about 100 yds away. The .308 Win (same as 7.62 NATO) and .223 ammo would make 'em ring, but when I fired up my Hakim and put 8mm Mauser rounds into those plates the impact would knock the metal stand over. That was pretty darned amazing.
Thanks, Barb. We're real fortunate that we have a really nice and secluded range to shoot on that's on private property. I'm the farthest away from it with about a 45 minute drive one way. But I don't mind that drive one bit.
Thank ya' A.I. You take care now and we'll "see" you when you get back to the Tarheel State. Oh yeah, be sure to blog about your new toy when you get it.

Anyway, have fun and shoot safe!
Oh, BTW, my Hakim is a lot prettier than that one I linked to. :-)
Sounds like a good idea - have fun!

Keep your powder dry!
I can't blame you, Gunner. Hope you have fun. I'm getting a new toy myself. To be announced. I gotta get home myself.
