Today's geography lesson

I was talking to an old codger the other day (older than me, anyway) and mentioned the State of New York and Appalachia in the same breath. He thought I was pulling his leg or something like that. I wasn't and here's the proof.



The graphic is compliments of this Great Society creation, whose usefulness and bang-for-the-buck from our tax dollar is likely small, but then again, if they didn't waste 'em, some other Federal entity would. Soooo, just leave 'em alone, I guess.
