Getting down off the porch

This seems a very worthy goal, trying to alleviate some of the misery and suffering in Africa. But, I guess I need to get out and about more often; cross the street and walk over to the next block occasionally; or start watching TV, again; or subscribe to People magazine; or something like that. Because seriously, I haven't the faintest idea what a Sir Bob Geldolf is. Not a clue.

I'll take In My Own World for a thousand, Alex.

I believe he used to have a band called the Boomtown Rats and they had a minor hit in the '80s or something. I believe that it's the same Bob Geldof.

Then he went Bono on us, even before Bono did, and commenced to putting together the rock charities like Live Aid and stuff. And I think that's pretty much all he's done since.

Of course, I may have this all wrong since I am surprisingly lax in researching my answers, preferring rather to shoot from the hip.

Now that you know who he is you realize he ain't really anybody. Not like a Bob Crane or a Fess Parker anyway.

I always check to see if my link has been dropped yet. I realize that eventually you'll figure out I have nothing to say and wander off.

Well, you just brung a big old goofy grin to my face. I just saw that you moved my link up to the top of the list. I am most honored, fine sir. Most honored.
