That'll be the day

It seems folks like Mrs Clinton, Warren Buffett and Barbra Streisand have expressed concern about the Bush tax cuts and feel that the rich should pay more taxes. To remedy this Congressman John Campbell (R, of course) has introduced in the House his "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is Act," which would amend the tax code to allow individuals to make voluntary donations to the federal government above their normal tax liability.

When pigs fly.

I agree completely with this legislation.

When you gonna run for office then, Ed? Cause that's the only way you & I will ever see it happen.

Sorta OT, but I was perusing a site yesterday and the young lady was lamenting her income tax burden. There were 130+ comments and I did a search and not one of them (or her post) indicated what the real problem is - INCUMBENTS!

The only way we'll ever see any real change is to through the whole bunch out and start all over again AND mandate term limits AND no effing lawyers in office, ever!

In my haste I failed to spell correctly. It should read..." throw the whole..." not "through".

I read that correctly Gunner. I agree with it too. Let them put their money where their mouth is.

I can't recall where I read it, Dan, but someone posted about let's change election day to April 16th. The fresh memory of the hassles Congress has created with this convoluted tax code might result in a fair number of them being out of a job.
