Hold your nose and touch the screen

The screen on the voting machines that we use here in the Commonwealth. The nose-holding step is for the likely Republican candidate, John McCain. I'm not happy with the choice but I find that I'm now thinking along the lines of Confederate Yankee.

His sentence "Love him or hate him, McCain has something both Democratic candidates lack: meaningful experience." is the heart of the matter. It's not a job for a rookie which is exactly what Obama and Clinton are.

OK, so you have to understand, I posted about voting for John McCain and not having to hold my nose BEFORE I read your post here.

Now, with that said, I have always told you that I believe people can disagree on things and still remain civil, right? We each try follow our conscience. To me, it seems that Mr. McCain is saying pretty much the same thing... and getting booed for it. And it isn't like he hasn't done some hard time and still not strayed from what e thinks is right. I think we need some straight talk and strong action in Washington right about now.

Anyhoo, I guess the ultra-liberals and the hardliners can hit the polls in November to try and cancel out my vote.

By the way, I was serious. You'd think the only thing going on in the world right now was the US elections. Thailand just swore in a whole new government yesterday and it was on page 3 or 4 of the local paper, behind the US elections! Crazy.

That's what makes it all interesting, R' Ed. We all don't think alike. It's be pretty darned boring if we did! :-)

I just thought of something. This technology thing is pretty darned amazing. I mean, there you are in Thailand posting a comment to a blog authored in Kentucky. I can remember the time when you found yourself overseas and wanted to communicate quickly with someone back in the world you had to "book" a international call with the base operator and hope she was in a good mood that day.
