I know that in the world of tactical handguns the semi-automatic pistol reigns supreme. However, Smith & Wesson proves that's not always so with this sweet little bit of gun pron - The Model 327 tactical revolver.
Even with all the semi-auto pistols we have and shoot, I still have a soft spot for wheel guns. For some reason I just like shooting our revolvers. I suppose that's a result of all of those westerns I watched while growing up (and still do).

My Arizona son-in-law that passed away last year had several revolvers. One was a chrome .357 that was really his gun. He could shoot something the size of a quarter at 25 yards with amazing regularity with that gun. He never could hit much with my semi-auto. Everyone finds the one that works for them. I have a couple of revolvers enjoy shooting them.
I'm just the opposite, Fish, and you're right about how shooters do better with certain guns.
I like shooting our revolvers, but if I want to be sure of hitting a small target it's going to be with my Kel-Tec 9mm and I think that has to do with the white "dot" front and rear sights on it.
Just line all three up just a tad underneath the target and you'll hit what you're aiming at - usually.
