The definition of perserverance

Maisie DeVore collected cans, scrap metal, car batteries and junk from around Wabaunsee County, Kansas and hauled it to a scrap metal recycling center in Topeka where she sold it. Maisie raised more than $73,000 doing this.

She's 83 years old and it took her 30 years to do it. Why? To build a community swimming pool.

Maisie must have read Churchill's "Never, never, never, ever give up." speech somewhere along the way.

Wow. That lady is too cool. I love folks who do things for the betterment of the community. And, in my opinion, some could better the community just by leaving it.
