It's an emergency! Eh... take your time

I discovered and heartily grasped the Internet back in the early 90s. On-line stock research, on-line banking, on-line genealogical research. Hey, not to sound like one who invented it, but I was emailing back in 1986. So, I'm all for high-tech, on-line endeavors. Forget standing in lines, dealing with counter clerks at the DMV, etc., etc.

However, I don't quite understand the concept of the on-line Call 911. Seems to me this is one I'd still rather do the old-fashioned way, with a telephone.
