How to write well according to the BBC

I've linked other writing sites before, but here's another one. This is the Beeb's take on how to write poetry, novels, or movie scripts.

It's fine to write like the British, but please don't spell like they do, to wit:

A confused Brit would ask, "What colour are your banque cheques?"

The succinct and economical American reply would be, "The color of my bank checks is blue."

There is no need whatsoever for those extra vowels or the use of the letter "Q"
