Microsoft will send you a free USB flashdrive just for the asking. Yes, there's some fine print, but nothing that's too intrusive or takes too much time. But it's hard to beat a $20 flash drive for doing about 2 minutes of work. Here's all the details from Lockergnome.
The Lockergnome website can be a slow-loader at times. You can go VFR direct to the Microsoft page and click on the VALUABLE INFORMATION graphic on the right hand side. You'll need a Microsoft .Net passport or MSN Messenger account. If you don't have either don't sweat it as they'll let you sign up for a .Net passport for free.
