This is wrong

Up front, we belong to AARP. Their dues are cheap and includes a monthly magazine that usually has some good articles in it.

Plus, it's just one of the several lobbyists I pay to represent me in DC (the others are the NRA, GOA, VFW, American Legion and AMA [motorcyclists, not doctors]).

However, I don't appreciate their refusal to admit that Social Security is broke and needs to be fixed and I darned sure don't think they should be getting Federal grants.

I believe I'll be doing the email thing to the congresscritters on this one. It's wrong, dead wrong to be giving these kind of organizations any Federal dollars.
