As you open your pockets for yet another charitable appeal, keep this in mind:
Brian Gallagher, President of United Way receives a $375,000 base salary, plus benefits.
Marsha J. Evans, President and CEO of the American Red Cross 2003 yearly salary was $650,000.
The Salvation Army's Commissioner Todd Bassett receives $13,000 per year, plus housing for managing this $2 billion a year organization.
No further comment necessary.
