A friend, who's a retired AF Reserve MSgt and still works at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, sent me some photos of the Hanoi Taxi. It's the C-141, tail number 177, that flew into Hanoi and picked up the first batch of POWs.
The C-141 fleet is being retired from service in May 2006. This particular aircraft will likely go to the USAF Museum there at Wright-Patt. In fact, these photos were taken on 13 Dec 2005 as the aircraft was overflying the Museum.
Photo 1, Photo 2, and Photo 3.
Thanks, Jim!
