Ettorre's Observation: The other line moves faster. Corollary: Don't try to change lines. The other line -- the one you were in originally -- will then move faster.
Man, ain't that the truth... just last Wednesday at Kroger's, my line was WAY too slow, so I skewed left into the neighboring line. Result? The guy who was behind me in the original line beat me out the door. And... I think he had a smirk on his face!
