Yesterday, I drove up to the Dayton, Ohio area on some personal business. Dayton's in southwest Ohio and the topography is definitely different than here in the Appalachian foothills of northeast Kentucky. It really flattens out once you get west of Ohio's first capital. There's acres and acres of corn and soybean fields. In fact, I saw several large soybean fields being harvested between Dayton and Chillicothe.
I also noticed several pumpkin stands along the way and realized that while I think it's still a bit early for Halloween, some folks like to get an early start on the holiday. If you happen to be one of those, then here's some information on carving that pumpkin.
